Getting Started
What should I expect at my first chiropractic appointment?
Your first visit is an opportunity to discuss your concerns, health history, daily activities, and goals. The chiropractor may perform an examination and explain whether chiropractic care or another service may be appropriate. Recommendations depend on your individual findings.
Do I need a referral to schedule an appointment?
Referral requirements can depend on your insurance plan and the type of care involved. Contact our team or your insurance provider if you are unsure about requirements that may apply to you.
How do I schedule an appointment?
Visit our Schedule Appointment page to use the online scheduler. You may also call Momentum Chiropractic at (813) 308-3050.
Chiropractic Care
What is chiropractic care?
Chiropractic care is a conservative approach focused on the relationship between joints, movement, and overall function. Care may include adjustments, movement guidance, and other services selected after an evaluation.
Are chiropractic adjustments forceful?
Techniques can be adapted to a patient’s age, comfort, needs, and examination findings. Momentum Chiropractic uses specialized tables designed to absorb some of the force used during an adjustment, supporting a gentle and specific approach.
How many visits will I need?
There is no single visit schedule that applies to everyone. Recommendations depend on your examination, symptoms, response to care, and goals. Your chiropractor should explain the reasoning behind any proposed care plan.
Is chiropractic care appropriate for children or during pregnancy?
Techniques may be modified for children and pregnant patients. An individual evaluation is necessary to determine whether care is appropriate. Learn more about chiropractic for kids and prenatal chiropractic care.
Treatments
What services does Momentum Chiropractic offer?
The office offers chiropractic care, spinal decompression, red light therapy, shockwave therapy, chiropractic care for kids, and prenatal chiropractic care. Visit our Treatments page to explore each service.
What is spinal decompression?
Spinal decompression uses a specialized table to apply controlled, gentle traction. It may be considered for selected disc-related concerns after an examination determines whether it is appropriate.
What are red light therapy and shockwave therapy?
Red light therapy uses targeted wavelengths of light, while shockwave therapy delivers focused acoustic waves to selected areas. Either may be considered as part of an individualized plan after an appropriate evaluation.
Insurance & Payment
Does Momentum Chiropractic accept insurance?
Yes, we accept most insurances that cover chiropractic care. At your initial visit, bring your picture ID and insurance card so we may complete a complimentary benefits check and explain what to expect.
Will I be charged before costs are discussed?
You will not incur charges before they are discussed with you. Coverage varies by plan, so benefits and anticipated costs should be reviewed for your individual situation.
